Proper care and maintenance are essential for extending the lifespan of your clothes. Following care instructions and storing  your clothes correctly to prevent damage and preserve their quality. Also before you disregard try and get it mended first.

2. Buying more than one of the same things

Before purchasing multiples of an item, consider whether you truly need them or if it's just impulsive shopping. Focus on versatility and remember having too much of the same things in your wardrobe could lead to a style rut!

3. Mindless shopping because it's Saturday or it's payday or you are bored

Practice mindfulness when shopping by distinguishing between genuine needs and impulsive must haves! Find alternative activities to fill your leisure time, reducing the temptation to shop mindlessly. Also delete fast fashion apps from your phone that way you lessen the temptation.

4. Sale shopping/buying something just because it's cheap

Evaluate purchases based on their value and utility rather than solely on discounted prices. Avoid falling into the trap of sales by reminding yourself of your actual wardrobe needs and be honest with yourself if it wasn't on sale would you buy it?

5. If your wardrobe is out of control and unorganized, you don't know what you have so you just keep buying

Regularly declutter and organize your wardrobe to gain a clear understanding of your existing items. Prioritize filling gaps in your wardrobe rather than duplicating items  you already own.

6. Not getting clothes tailored that are not fitting you well so you don't wear them. It's an investment

Invest in alterations for ill-fitting garments to ensure they complement your body shape. Tailoring can breathe new life into clothes, making them more wearable and saving you from unnecessary purchases and elements that "Sad pail" (those clothes that we hung on to that make you feel rubbish )

7.Having too many shops on your mailing list as well as on your socials

Streamline your subscriptions and social media follows to reduce exposure to tempting shopping. Focus on brands or stores that align with your style and values to avoid unnecessary temptation.

8. Not trying items on before you buy

Always prioritize trying on clothes before making a purchase to ensure proper fit and comfort. Take advantage of fitting room facilities. I know fitting rooms are not for everyone but this could save you so many wardrobe mistakes.

9. Not returning the items

Develop a habit of promptly returning items that don't meet your expectations or fit correctly. Keep track of return deadlines and policies to avoid missed opportunities for refunds or exchanges.

10. Not knowing your style

Take the time to explore and get to know what you love when it comes to your style. Identify what resonates with you and allow yourself to make more confident and informed fashion choices.
