A different way to think about fashion.

Personal styling…
Because clothes matter

I’m a multi-award winning personal stylist who gives you back time by overhauling your wardrobe. And, you won’t have to buy new clothes.

This is a different way to think about style. You’ll discover how to build new outfits from clothes you already own, bridge wardrobe gaps sustainably, and make money from items which no longer serve you.

You won’t have to lose weight or miraculously become 10 years younger. It’s about finding an authentic, unique style for the woman you are right now.

Imagine a whole range of new outfits at your fingertips — for business, socialising, relaxation and comfort, special occasions — and all of them look fabulous on you.

Why worry about what to wear? I give you the headspace to focus on more important things… like your career.

Restyling your wardrobe

You’ll learn the art of outfit building — how to restyle your existing clothes, shoes and accessories with flair and creativity.
I help you understand your body shape, and what suits it.

You’re comfortable, confident and in control. No matter the occasion, every outfit feels exactly right, and deciding what to wear becomes effortless. It’s a massive personal and professional confidence boost.

Transforming your mindset

Do you hold onto clothes which don't fit? Things that don’t make you feel good? I free you from those `sad pile’ items. This is all about looking and feeling gorgeous as you are right now.

You’re left only with versatile pieces which you love, and which work for you and your lifestyle. You’ll have more space and order in your wardrobe, and complete control over a look which is entirely your own.

It all starts with a conversation. Get in touch by hitting the big button.
We can have a chat and you can see what you think.

Here’s a little information about me

My name is Sophia Lorimer. I’ve always worked in the fashion industry and before becoming a mum, my life was all about clothes. I’d buy all the latest stuff, all the time. Then I had my daughter.

Everything changed. My body was different, I was different. I’d lost my identity, and didn’t know how to dress this new body.

I knew there must be other women who felt like me. A new baby, divorce, the menopause, a new career, bereavement… These things change us mentally and physically — or both at the same time.

As a personal stylist, I want to help women love themselves just as they are. I want you to feel amazing again, because that acceptance is what helped me.

Shall we have a quick conversation? I can explain how it works, you can ask questions and see what you think. Hit the big button to get in touch.

“Investing in FTW is a no brainer. From a financial point of view, not only does your investment get you a 'new' wardrobe, the items you choose to lose are sold so you get money back. From a non-financial point of view, here's what I loved: - The personal service: Sophia takes time to get to know you to be able to suggest wardrobe changes, all in a very personable way - At the end of the session, I felt like I had a new wardrobe when it was clothes I already had. Sophia put new outfits and colour palettes together that I'd never thought about, introduced me to the 'french tuck', to name a few changes that made everything feel brand new - I was introduced to a new way of thinking about my wardrobe: I'd never considered buying second hand before this and now, this is my first port of call - Perhaps my favourite part of this is that you are not only benefitting personally, but you feel you're benefitting others. Once you decide what you no longer want / need, it's not only sold but also donated and recycled. I loved this side of the service more than anything These are just highlights, I could go on! I'm recommending FTW to anyone who'll listen to me!”

“Sophia changed my life! She brought joy to a chore I have been putting off for years and transformed my mismatched jumble of clothes to a coordinated collection of pieces. Sophia put a huge amount of energy and care in to tailoring a seamless, fun experience. She listened to me ramble on about my clothes crisis and managed to work out exactly what I didn’t even know I needed. Her organisation of my wardrobe and re-styling of my clothes has set me up for years. Thank you for giving me the confidence I needed to reset my wardrobe!”

  • Carley

“I had stopped wearing most of my wardrobe and couldn't see the wood for the trees as far as bringing different items together to create new looks. The whole experience with Sophia was fun and easy and I'm so glad that I did it! I love opening my wardrobe and creating new looks and I'm wearing lots of things that would otherwise only come out once or twice a year. Getting ready is fun again.”

  • Jodie

“Personable, professional, kind, and easy to talk to with no overbearing opinions of fashion or what I should wear, just a perfect rework of what I already have in my wardrobe, giving me new ideas with old items. The session was really worthwhile to appreciate what I do have, and not to feel pressured into buying new outfits for occasions.”

  • Carol

“You have transformed my crammed untidy wardrobe into a slick well thought out colour coordinated wardrobe plus transformed my thinking and given me confidence on what suits me ! I’ve being loving wearing all my new outfits created from clothes that had been shoved in back of wardrobe ! I cannot recommend the overhaul service enough ! Absolute dream to work with xx”

  • Alanna

“Really enjoyed my wardrobe overhaul with Sophia. She made me think with more intent when it comes to my wardrobe. We cut down on a lot of things, and also I was able to have a fresh pair of eyes showing me what works together through layering. Thanks Sophia!”

I was recommended Fine Tuned Wardrobe and Sophia by a friend, after I'd commented on how great her outfit looked. I'd been feeling stuck in a rut with my wardrobe and Sophia's service sounded like just what I needed to move things forward.

We had a great first chat and I felt like she really understood my concerns, then when the moodboard arrived I realised she'd captured my style and was going to be able to push me along in the right direction.

On the day we had SO much fun. Lots of laughing, playing around with outfits but also some hard work done to clear out the dross and see my wardrobe in a much clearer, positive light.

After the day itself, Sophia was often in touch to find out how I was getting on and to send links for sourcing missing items second hand.

Overall, I couldn't recommend Fine Tuned Wardrobe enough. I've already passed on Sophia's details to so many friends, who are looking to make a change.

 Sustainability and Community

I'm a believer that the most sustainable pieces are already in circulation, and by having me as your stylist, you're also contributing to making a difference for the planet.

As a Sustainable Stylist, I collaborate with my clients to refresh and enhance their current wardrobe utilizing the garments that they hold dear and that make them feel confident. However, my approach differs from conventional fashion stylists as my focus revolves around sustainable and slow fashion and how they can be incorporated into one's wardrobe. You won't catch me taking you on a shopping spree; instead, I'll employ your existing pieces to create new outfits, and if something is missing, I'll always source it from pre-loved collections.

My vision is to improve women’s experience in all walks of life, by giving back to our communities and women less fortunate. Alongside this, Fine-Tuned Wardrobe will strive to create a more sustainable fashion culture.

How I help?

I help you help others less fortunate like the homeless and women shelters.

FAQs

You’ll probably have questions, so I’ve answered some of them here.

If yours isn’t here, don’t worry. Just get in touch and I’ll provide an answer.

  • It doesn’t matter at all. In fact, please resist the temptation to tidy your wardrobe beforehand because I want to see how you use it right now.

Piles of shoes under the bed, old clothes hidden away in boxes or all over the `floordrobe’. I don’t judge. I’m here to empower you.

Anything which doesn’t serve you, I can help you find sustainable ways to free yourself from it.

My wardrobe makeover isn’t just a restyle for you. It’s also a new system for your wardrobe. Everything will be at your fingertips, within easy reach. You’ll see exactly what you have, and you’ll know how to wear it beautifully.

  • Depending on which wardrobe makeover package you choose, I can advise you about where to donate unwanted clothes — or I can donate them for you.

I make sure they go to communities who will benefit from them, for example, the homeless or to women rebuilding their lives in women’s’ shelters.

I can also advise you on where to sell clothes or, depending on the package, sell them on your behalf.

To find out which wardrobe makeover package you’d prefer, see sustainable styling in action.

  • No, because you already own almost everything you need to feel and look amazing.

You may have wardrobe gaps — key pieces which bring outfits together — but you won’t have to shop for new clothes. I can show you how to source high-quality items sustainably and remarkably affordably.

  • I’m based in West Sussex. As a rough guide, anywhere within a 2-hour radius is fine although I’ll need to charge for travel time.

  • A wardrobe makeover works just as well online.

I offer an online wardrobe makeover called Restore Your Style. It’s a great way to transform the way you feel about yourself, in the time it takes to cook a casserole.

  • In person, it takes one day and I’ll come to your home.

Online, the wardrobe makeover takes 90 minutes.

Would you like some more details? Find out how it works.

  • Absolutely NOT. It’s my job as a personal stylist to help you accept and love yourself as you are now. As women, we spend too much time beating ourselves up because we don’t conform to the fashion industry ideal.

When we hold onto clothes which don’t fit, waiting until we’re the perfect size to wear them, it damages our confidence and self-esteem.

    Think of it this way:

Would you buy a new dress that was too small for you? Because next year you’re going to be a size 10 or whatever? You probably wouldn’t.

Wouldn’t it be kinder, and more loving, if you had a wardrobe full of clothes which fit you right now?

  • As a personal stylist, I focus on sustainability.

The fashion industry, particularly fast fashion, is damaging our planet and exploiting the people who live here. It’s responsible for 10% of global carbon emissions — more than international flights and maritime shipping combined.

It’s easy to feel powerless. So, rather than waiting for politicians to act, I’m doing something about it.

My wardrobe makeover helps you feel better about yourself and it’s better for the planet. By reusing what’s already in circulation, there’s less overconsumption and waste. You start dressing more mindfully.

  • It’s my job to put the power into your hands. I’ll never issue rules about which colours to wear, and which ones to avoid.

If you love a particular colour, and it brings you joy, then go ahead and wear it with confidence.

It’s all about how clothes make you feel.
